I was driving home from work today. My job is typical 9-5 40 hour a week one so I get off at the same time as many others in my city.
During my drive I noticed more and more people walking their dogs. The weather is nice so I am sure that has something to do with it. But it’s the fact that the dog needs air is the main reason why everyone was walking their dog and why it’s great for one’s health.
Unless you can afford to pay for doggy daycare, your dog will sit and home board out of its mind. Just waiting for 5 PM to roll around so you can take them for a walk.
When they see you they’ll be super excited. And once they finish giving you love an attention they’ll want to do go for a walk.
This is a great way for anyone who wants to improve his or her health. Going for a 15-minute walk your dog is a nice first step. When someone wants to move wait is all about the baby steps.
People should not expect from themselves to start running 5 miles or hitting the gym 5 days a week. Especially since we are so busy working and spending time with family and friends. But by getting a dog, you force yourself to take them for a walk and get some fresh air by going to the park to play Frisbee or to chase a ball around.
I had to provide dog sitting for my brother as they thought about letting The Wonder dogs do it. But they didn’t like the idea of having someone they didn’t know look after their dog.
So it was up to me. What I found is that their dog forced me to get outside and go for daily walks. All of sudden I started feeling better and because of that I was then more motivated to go for runs and hit up the gym.
Like I said people shouldn’t expect to be a hero and get in better shape fast. It’s all about the baby steps and by having a dog, it will force you to go for walks daily.
Domestic animals provide company to persons who live by themselves. Pet ownership among unmarried or lonely people has increased by 18 percent in the last six years, reports the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). The rise in pet ownership in families has only increased 1.37 percent. The study advises that unmarried is more likely to take care of their pets as family members because of the quantity of livelihood that their companionship offers.
Pet holders generally have the desire to mingle with other pet holders. Studies have exposed that it is easier to meet individuals if you have a pet. These animals are seen as public ice breakers who have used a support to stir up discussions with others.
